Committee, affiliates of the Buddhist Churches in America in April 1958.
Background
From Peter Harrington (seller):
Founded in 1898 and headquartered in San Francisco, by the 1950s the BCA had grown to include 52 churches located in California,
Utah, Washington, and Colorado. The Western Young Buddhist League was responsible for 45 chapters of the the National Young
Buddhist Association, a wing of the BCA. Berkeley Busse1; published by the Berkeley temple on Channing Way, regularly carried
articles by Kerouac, Snyder, Walen, and Alan Watts.
