Abstract:
Slides are divided into regions according to the type of timber grown: The Douglas Fir region (Oregon and Washington); the
Redwood Region: (Northern and Central California) and the Ponderosa Pine Region: (Arizona, California, Montana) and within
each region there are a variety of slides showing: yarding, hauling, logging, transportation (includes train trestles, bridges,
etc.) and construction. A wide variety of places are named, and several National Forests are specifically mentioned: Angeles
(So. Calif.); Coconino (Ariz.); Snoqualmie (Wash.); Plumas, Tahoe, and Siskiyou (Calif.); and many lumber towns including
Rinearson, Or. Includes views of about 20 named lumber companies, mostly in California.
