Photograph album of snapshots documenting lowrider cars; shows and competitions pertaining to lowrider culture, chiefly in
the southern San Francisco Bay Area; and the Mexican American milieu of the album's compiler, Javier Escobedo, then a teenager
living in Gilroy. A few images depict artwork pertaining to a Ranflas car club. Also includes miscellaneous snapshots depicting
Javier, his friends and family members; portraits of high school couples taken at dance events associated with Gilroy High
School; a few school portraits from earlier in Javier's childhood; miscellaneous ephemera (ticket stubs to lowrider events;
and announcements pertaining to Gilroy High School dances and a quinceaƱera celebration); a few pieces of correspondence addressed
to Javier from a young woman pen pal; an illustrated letter from a family member; and a graffiti sketch.
