Abstract:
Photograph album compiled by Robert Y.Y. Kim (born 1921) containing chiefly snapshot views and portraits documenting his youth
in Honolulu, especially his classmates and friends at McKinley High School; girlfriends Florence Sasaki and Florence Shigetani;
and various members of his Korean American family. Also includes World War II-era photographs depicting Kim and his fellow
soldiers at Schofield Barracks in Oahu, an unidentified training station in South Carolina, among a prisoner of war "P.O.W.
gang" in Italy, and at various locations in the United States shortly after the war.
