Freedom to Travel (also called Travel Challenge) trips to Cuba took place in October, 1993 and June 1994. They were organized
by Global Exchange (of San Francisco, Calif.), as a challenge to US refusal to allow Americans to travel to Cuba, and by the
Venceremos Brigade, and a number of other Cuba friendship or Cuba solidarity organizations who regularly defied the travel
ban.
