Abstract:
Consists chiefly of research data gathered by Shear in 1931, with his summaries of the data for various studies of fruit consumption,
1909 to 1931, done under the auspices of the Giannini Foundation of Agricultural Economics, University of California, Berkeley.
Files of statistics are organized by type of fruit, and often relate to fresh, dried, and canned forms of each fruit. Also
includes a small amount of correspondence, as well as related papers and reports gathered by Shear from others in his field,
including O.E. Baker, H.R. Wellman, and W.A. Scott.
