Lenore Elsa Woolams was born in San Francisco on April 7, 1914; studied art with Glenn Deujinsky, Alexander Weyers, John Storrs
and Beniamino Bufano; in 1939 contracted polio; two years later she regained the use of her hands and eventually resumed her
art career; lived in San Francisco and later in Marin County and San Jose; ecclesiastical sculpture was a specialty; died
in Monterey County, July 5, 1977.
