Abstract:
Chiefly views that appear to be related to ships and ship construction, but may include other sorts of engines, boilers, and
heavy equipment. Many views document ships' boiler rooms or engine rooms and pipe networks below decks, boilers and various
heavy equipment and perhaps engine parts in warehouses, industrial yards, and unidentified rail yards, at least one of which
(and therefore perhaps all) appear to be in Richmond, Calif. at the Kaiser shipyards. Some negatives are dated from 1944 to
1946, and other images have placards within the image with a 1943 date.
