Lawrence W. McGaugh (October 11, 1940-July 26, 2006) was a San Francisco Bay Area poet. He earned a BFA at the San Francisco
Art Institute in 1971, taught fine arts at several institutions around the Bay Area, and served a commissioner on the Berkeley
Civic Art Commission, 1976-1979. He is the author of A Fifth Sunday and Other Poems (Oyez Press, 1965), Vacuum Cantos and
Other Poems (Oyez Press, 1969), and Dreamheads Love Poems, 1978-83 (self-published, 1983); he also contributed poems to numerous
anthologies. At the time of his death, he was living in Berkeley, California.
