Abstract:
Contains several studio portraits of University of California, Berkeley students, including football players in uniform; photographic
prints of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition (with 2 snapshots of rubble during its destruction), an unidentified
automobile race (ca. 1920?), large format photographs of billboards along California highways, and other miscellaneous subjects.
Also includes many postcards depicting the P.P.I.E., Panama-California International Exposition (San Diego, 1916), other California
locations, and the royal family of Belgium.

Harmon Bell was born in Oakland, California on march 23, 1855. He became an attorney specializing in railroad and real estate
law. He was the founding president of the Oakland Commercial Club and served as the head of the federal food program in Oakland
during World War I. Bell died in Piedmont, California on April 12, 1929.
