Yee Wing Soo Hoo (1858-1944) emigrated from China to the United States in 1882, eventually settling in Oakland, California.
He was the proprietor of Soo Wing & Co., selling Chinese art goods, furnishings, etc., located in Oakland's Chinatown. Wing's
son, Donald Soo Hoo (1922-2009), served in the U.S. military during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army Air Forces'
155th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron.
