Abstract:
Photographs documenting the Mexican Revolution taken chiefly during Francisco I. Madero's term as President of Mexico. Many
scenes depict Madero in public, or in groups with other politicians, generals and/or other figures associated with the revolution.
A few images also depict Madero family members. Also includes other scenes from the revolution, many taken in Mexico City,
chiefly depicting street views of demonstrations, artillery, or damaged structures. While there are no battle scenes depicted,
a few images show the wounded and dead. Also includes a small number of portrait photographs depicting other figures, including
Venustiano Carranza, Medina Barrón, Salvador Alvarado, Querido Moheno, Pedro Ojeda, Ignacio L. Pesqueira, José M. Lozano,
Juan G. Cabral, Bernardo Reyes, Gustavo Madero, Eduardo F. Hay, Vicente Segura, Aquiles Serdán, Pascual Orozco, Giuseppe Garibaldi
II (also known as Peppino Garibaldi) and Raoul Madero.
