Finds included a cemetery of crocodiles wrapped in sheets of papyrus and human mummies likewise wrapped in papyrus (from the
Ptolemaic period), and other papyri found in the houses and temple area of the town (from the Roman period). Some of the papyri
relate to the neighboring village of Kerkeosiris. These papyri are now at The Bancroft Library, University of California,
Berkeley.
