Abstract:
A group of three treatises prepared for the instruction of officials and surveyors in New Spain; with diagrams and charts.
Sáenz is described on the title pages and in his own statement as merely the compiler of the work, but is generally regarded
as its author in view of the preponderance of original writing. Preceded by a statement of approval from Cristóbal Guadalajara
(Puebla, September 30, 1706), stating that the Ms. had been sent from Mexico City; a dedication to Captain Francisco Pérez
Navas; and a note to the reader.
