cards; ephemera from events; and materials from competitions, including "Your Self-Portrait as a Dog." There are also periodicals
containing submissions from Dogmatic, information about mail art, and an annotated bibliography of primary sources on Bay
Area Dadaists by John Held, Jr. Artists include Al "Blaster" Ackermann, Anna Banana, Mohammed (Genova, Italy), Ray Johnson,
Mike Belt, Pauline Smith, Opal Nations, Clay Wilson, Gaglioni, and Futzie Nutzo.

Irene Dogmatic (born Nancy Maass Mosen); painter, visual and performance artist; active since 1972, lived and worked in San
Francisco and Berkeley, Calif., and New York, N.Y.; attended University of California, Berkeley (BA in painting 1967) and
San Francisco State University (MA 1971); member of bands SST, The Beauty Killers, and The Kahunas. Much of her work has focused
on her and others' pets.
