Dennis W. Sinclair was a national organizer for the Peace and Freedom Party. The Peace and Freedom Party grew out of the anti-war
and civil rights movements and was founded in June 1967. The party achieved ballot status in California in January 1968 and
held its first national convention to nominate presidential and vice presidential candidates in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1968.
