Sharp Park, known as the Sharp Park Enemy Alien Detention Center or Camp Sharp Park, was used, starting March 30, 1942, as
an internment camp for aliens (German, Italian, and Japanese) brought to the camp by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
It was apparently used in 1943 by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service to detain Peruvian Japanese war prisoners.
