Collection includes 11 photographic prints (stored as --AX) from a series by C.C. Curtis of the General Noble tree (Fresno
Co., Calif.) felled for the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago of 1893 and known as the "World's Fair Big Tree." Various
stages of the felling are pictured with the work crew posing beside the tree. Photographs relating to logging show the Sierra
Redwood (Sequoia gigantea), fir trees in Washington, and the Snoqualmie Lumber Co. Lantern slides show redwood trees. Negatives
include views of Idaho and the dedications of various groves in the 1920's.
