Abstract:
The collection contains copies of photographs of Cantor Rabinowitz; a telegram he received from the San Francisco Zionist
District Committee after serving as a cantor for 40 years (1930); photocopies of newspaper clippings about the Cantor's 45
years of service (1935); a speech Rabinowitz delivered on his 50th anniversary of being Beth Israel's Cantor (1940); and an
invitation to a service honoring Rabinowitz's 53 years of service to Beth Israel. The collection also has a notebook of Rabinowitz
that has copies of prayers and handwritten funeral orations, as well as published prayer books and a 100th anniversary album
for Congregation Beth Israel (1960).
